I, Balbir Singh S/o Late S. Teja Singh, aged 38 yrs., R/o 90/37B (2^nd Floor), Malviya Nagar, New Delhi-110017, do hereby solemnly affirm and state as under: - 

1.                  I, alongwith my brother and sister in law own shop M/s AAR KAY ENTERPRISES, 8, Adchini Market, Mehrauli Road, New Delhi-110017.

2.                  On 31^st October, 1984, I closed my shop in the market early at 6 P.M., due to assassination of Mrs. Indira Gandhi. Due to anti-Sikh riots thereafter we could not go to my shop and we remained inside of our house. On 3^rd November`84, in the evening, I was informed by my relative (sister-in-law) that she has been informed that your shop has been burnt. Next day on 4<sup>th</sup> November`84, I went to the Police Station Hauz Khas and with the help of police force, I went to see my shop I found that my shop was found completely burnt and all material inside was reduced to ashes.

3.                  On enquiring from the neighbouring house I was informed by Raj Singh, 9, Adchini Mehrauli Road, New Delhi-17 and Sham Kaur and Ratni two wives of Jiya Lal of 7, Adchini Mehrauli Road that my shop was burnt on 31^st October`84, at about 10 P.M.. The sons of landlord of my shop namely Ram Chander and Peva Nand who is known as Goonda came with a few of their friends and set my shop to fire. Their object appeared to be / to get my shop vacated, which was rented to us by their father in 1976.

4.                  We lost medicines and other material amounting to Rs.2.6 lakh in the shop.
