I, Maj. Kartar Singh (Retd.) VSM S/o S. Ralla Singh, R/o PB-3H, DDA Flats, Munirka, New Delhi-67, do hereby solemnly affirm & declare as under: -  

1.                  That I A.M. a retired Army officer and own an electronic sales & services establishment – shopping center No. 2, DDA Flats, Munirka, New Delhi-67.

2.                  That on 1^st November`84, I had kept my shop closed due to the sad demise of our late Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi. At about 1300 hrs. Lt. Col. J.S. Khanna (Retd.) who lives near my shop in E5-H, DDA Flats, Munirka, New Delhi-67, rang me to inform that a mob has assembled in front of my shop and they may loot, burn & damage my shop. I rang up SHO Police Station, Vasant Vihar who told me that he was sending a police party to the site. My friend Lt. Col. J.S. Khanna again rang up to inform me that my shop was broken, damaged and all the property taken away by the mob. The total loss ws about Rs.1,47,400/- which was report to the police vide FIR No.322 dated 1-11-84.

3.                  That Lt. Col. J.S. Khanna further told me that one person wearing a Kurta & Pyajama was directing the mob and instructing to loot the shops own by Sikh only. My shop was first to be looted and then they looted Inderjit Stores and Sant Store.
