1.                  That at about 5 PM on 31-10-1984, I came to know about the assassination of Smt. Indira Gandhi. At that time I was in my workshop in Mayapuri I closed down my workshop and reached at my house. Riots took place in the city. I could not sleep at night. At about 12 in the night I saw that Mr. Malik Raj Singh, the owner of the Solanki Property Dealers and his brother Ramanand, One Tyagi who was a conductor in DTC, alongwith many other people holding a meeting in the opposite of my house. After that at about 12 in the same night they attacked the house of Mr. Sodhi, i.e. the third house from my house and intended to kill Mr. Sodhi. They abused him. This mob was led by Master Raj Singh. He was telling that he is brother-in-law of Mr. Sajjan Kumar. The mob had beaten the door of Mr. Sodhi with hockeys and brick and than left the site. Master Raj Singh and Ramanand were carrying hockey and others were carrying bricks and stones etc.

2.                  That on 1-11-84 in between 1.00 – 2.00 PM attacked our mohalla. I watched it from my toilet after making a hole in the wall. I heard the slogans, “Sikh Gadaron Bahar Niklo” raised by the mob. And the whole day the mob roamed around.

3.                  That on 2-11-1984 again the mob came and gathered before the office i.e. Solanki Property Dealer of Master Raj Singh. The mob threw bricks at my house and set my scooter on fire which was lying out of my house. Then they attacked the house of Dalip. They killed him and his son and also gave severe beating to his wife for why she has poured water into her husband’s mouth. His house was ransacked and damaged. Then the house of Sampuran Singh was set on fire by the mob and gave beating to whole of his family. Then they set on fire the house of Karnail Singh. Then the mob injured the whole family residing in the Upper storey and also burnt alive the son-in-law of that family. Then the woman of the mohalla gathered and lied on Pankha Road to stop the vehicles of Army. Military came to the mohalla and the mob fled away on seeing the military. The mob was led by Master Raj Singh, his brother Ramanand, one Tyagi and Prem Dhobi who set the property on fire and killed the Sikhs. Master Raj Singh was telling that he is the brother-in-law of Sajjan Kumar.

4.                  That on 7-11-1984, my wife saw our household articles in the house of Dhobi and pointed to him that these articles belong to her. Then Dhobi threatened her by saying, Sikhni bhaag ja nahin to maar dengay.” The military posted two of its cops before the house of Karnail Singh. Master Raj Singh went to them and gave them liquor and directed them to leave the place as they have nothing to do here. Both the military cops kept on drinking the liquor. In the evening police came to take dead bodies. There was a heap of dead bodies. Then on our request one Punjabi constable of police took all of us to police station. Afterwards, my house was looted by the mob. My children accompanied me to the police station where they demanded water. I went to take water from the fridge but Munshi told that the Sikhs will be served poisonous water. He stopped us from taking the water and then in the dark of the night I brought one pale of water from the building and served it to my children in the dark.
