Affidavit submitted before Misra Commission

                I, Pehalwan Singh aged 55 years r/o F-2/129 – 131, Sultanpuri, Delhi do hereby solemnly state on oath that: -

1.                  Before  the November episode there was good atmosphere, I had cordial relations with my neighbour and there was nothing to fear. But now I am scared.

2.                  On Nov.1,1984 at about 6 AM, I saw a mob of about 500 men. They had lathis, iron rods, petrol oil and some kind of powder, with them. They were shouting to kill Sardars. On seeing them we went towards D-Block out of fear. I saw them burning houses after sprinkling kerosene oil but I cannot recognize them as I did not see them minutely. On 1.11.1984 at night, my father Sohan Singh, son Yogender Singh and Son-in-law Swaroop Singh was beaten to death by them. They started beating me too. But some among the mob asked them to spare me being an old man. They spared me. My wife has been hurt.

3.                  First the attackers burnt the Gurdwara at F-2. Afterwards the men and houses were burnt. They looted our house. We had Rs.10,000/- cash, clothing, utensils etc. in the house. I remained in the camp for two weeks.
