Affidavit submitted before Misra Commission

                    I, Hardyal Singh Sahni S/o Bakshi Dalip Singh aged 55 years R/o 120, Hari Nagar Ashram, New Delhi-14, do hereby solemnly affirm and state on oath as under:- 

1.                  That I say that I am working in a private concern.  I am an ordinary citizen of India and was living peacefully for the last 30 years.

2.                  On 1st November, 1984, a mob comprising of local and from outer Delhi, came in buses, trucks, tempo etc. armed with iron rods, lathis, petrol, kerosene oil, some powder etc. at about 8:30 am from G.T. Road, (Mathura Road). These persons were led by Bansi Lal Saini S/o Nathu Lal Saini (a former military men) R/o 277, Hari Nagar Ashram. Mob also was led by following leading persons: -

                                                              i.      Ved Prakash Yadav, Congress Worker, R/o Hari Nagar Ashram.

                                                           ii.      Varinder Kumar Chauhan, V.K. Electronics Shop, Hari Nagar Ashram and Vishal Property Dealer.

                                                         iii.      Daulat Ram Saini S/o Gopi, Congress Worker, R/o 270, Hari Nagar Ashram, New Delhi.

                                                          iv.      Ram Kumar Jain, Alias Kumar S/o Ghisa Ram Jain, R/o 318, Hari Nagar Ashram New Delhi, BJP Worker.

                                                             v.      Narsi Bhagat S/o Ghisa Ram, Jan Sang Worker (BJP Worker), R/o 318, Hari Nagar Ashram.

                                                          vi.      Sarni Mal, R/o Hari Nagar Ashram, New Delhi, BJP Worker.

                                                        vii.      Surinder Kumar Alias Babu S/o Gopi Saini, R/o 270, Hari Nagar Ashram.

                                                     viii.      Vaid Mahipal Prashar, R/o 120, Hari Nagar Ashram and shop holder.

                                                          ix.      Raju S/o Sham Dutt Pandit, Hari Nagar Ashram.

                                                            x.      P.D. Sharma (Advocate) Congress Leader S/o Bhagwani Dutt Sharma, R/o Hari Nagar Ashram.

3.                  That my wife Smt. Balbir Kaur was running cloth shop at 120, Hari Nagar Ashram, New Delhi.

4.                  The mob disconnected telephone by hitting with lathis and then broke locks of shop and shop was looted and cloth was taken away by rioters. Cloth worth Rs. 3 lakhs was looted and then shop was set on fire by the ringleader.

5.                  I and my family were residing behind the shop at 120, Hari Nagar Ashram, New Delhi, were looted my immovable property and items such as T.V., Two in one, clothing, radio, fridge were taken away and the remaining were set on fire. I and my wife Smt. Balbir Kaur, my son Kulwinder Singh were present there and we were also attacked by lathis and iron rods etc. My youngest son Jatinder Singh Sahni was hit on the head by Bansi Lal Saini, Narsi Bhagat, Daulat Saini and others (name written above) and be profusely started bleeding. He was taken later by military to AIIMS, New Delhi on the evening. We ran away and escaped and hided ourselves in the house of Shri Shiv Raj R/o 120, Hari Nagar Ashram, working in DAV School Bhogal. We stayed there for one day and were taken by military to camp and Hospital AIIMS, New Delhi. My eldest son was also hit on chest and legs and was treated privately. AIIMS discharge slip can be produced. My house is still lying burnt and landlord is not allowing constructing again.

6.                  I have two sons and two daughters are still staying in camp in Gurdwara Bala Sahib, G.No. 5A, New Delhi.

7.                  I can produce witness which are as under: -
